If your old brows still hold more than 50% of their original intensity and you are not changing the shape, our specialist recommends a single annual top-up is fine. If they have faded to only 20–30%, a new full service with one follow-up touch-up will give you a much more satisfying result.

If the old brow tattoo has already faded, hair stroke can be done over it. If it is still dark, our specialist recommends clearing the old pigment first so the new work turns out the way you expect. You are welcome to send photos of your brows for a consultation before booking.

Yes. A colour-correction technique is used to drop the existing dark colour so the brows look lighter and softer. It suits clients who already like their shape and do not want it changed — only the colour feels too strong.

6D hand-drawn strokes, or microblading, is the older stroke technique. A blade-like needle draws strokes into the skin, leaving an open wound, so you must keep the brows dry for about 7 days while the skin closes. Once healed, the strokes are fairly even in weight — a good fit if you want a clearly defined brow.

Hair stroke is the newer technique. It is a closed-wound method. The strokes vary in weight and look softer and more natural, though it takes a little longer than 6D. Aftercare depends on the technique and your skin, and our team advises each client individually.

The number of sessions differs from case to case. It depends on:

• The type of pigment — permanent pigment is harder to remove and needs more sessions; semi-permanent pigment comes out more easily in fewer sessions
• How dark the old brows are — very dark, near-black brows take longer than light or medium ones
• The previous artist’s hand pressure, depth and pigment density — heavy-handed, deep, densely packed work is harder and needs more sessions than shallow, lighter work. With deep work, the brows can even look darker at first as removal brings buried pigment up

It depends on the technique. With 6D strokes (microblading) or powder / shading brows, you generally keep them dry for about 5–7 days. Hair stroke, a closed-wound technique, usually needs a shorter dry period. Aftercare depends on the technique and your skin, and our team advises each client individually.
